It is clear that you have misunderstood the content or tone of my post. May I direct your attention to this thread and this page of RALPH information.

I'm pretty sure I got the tone right.
But that's inconsequential.
This last answer is the one that should have come first.

It is my mistake for not reading more about Ralph.
If I had, I would never have crunched a second for the project.

I can accept the risks of alpha testing. Up to the point of burning out my PC.
Participating is a voluntary choice.

However it is my belief/opinion, that the environment in wich we participate, the board, with profiles, and stats and fora are not alpha. The credits are not alpha. A project should never loose sight of the fact that all volunteers do pay (electricity at least) to participate. Telling them that the roof leaks and the broken windows get boarded shut are the rules in the alpha hovel is not my idea of a reward or a thank you.

In any case, as you pointed out, it is clearly stated in the project definition and therefore I apologize for these postings and will show myself out.

I have suspended Ralph. Rosetta will remain.

Good Day.
Philippe

(...)it is not likely to get fixed any time soon as it has nothing to do with the purpose of the RALPH ALPHA testing. (...)None of the competitive aspects of the BOINC world are important for RALPH and no energy is spent in addressing problems in those areas.

I can assure you that the system administrator currently is working on more important issues. Should he become particularly bored at some point he may try to fix the User of the Day display, but it will be some time before that happens.
(...) In any case it has no impact on the functional testing conducted on RALPH.

Nice. I must confess I was not expecting this tired old answer. Or attitude!

Soooo.... We volunteers are supposed to crunch and shut-up... This is rather a strong departure from the tone of the Rosetta Newsletter "Thank you for your past participation, and we hope you can provide additional support to Rosetta@home in the future."

Whith this kind of attitude, my reaction is to tell you that both Rosetta and Ralph can kiss my support good bye. There are plenty of projects out there that do show appreciation for the support.

We will also notice how long it takes to get fixed.
It's been a week already.
