1. the cpu time & progress looks good, but the time to completion is meaningless.
the time allowed is 2H but the To completion shows 5H with 5% done
2. I closed BOINC manager (right click - exit) via the task bar icon, at about 7% & 12min then reloaded BOINC, but the running task started from 0 CPU time & 0% Progress, so it lost any results that should have been saved?
save to disk is set to 120sec. |

Just a heads up don\'t know if this is relevant here but on Einstien they have had much troubel with process \"Caught SIGABRT in graphics thread\" and
\"got signal 11\" mostley on LINUX.
I reported my first error on that 5 posts down and now I saw a report on Rosetta to.
Hope it\'s nothing.

My G4/733 (Mac OS v10.3.9, BOINC v5.8.17) got an error with “Exit status 6 (0x6)” on vgcc__BOINC_ABRELAX-vgcc_-_2019_203, just twelve seconds in; a crash-dump is in the output file along with “SIGBUS: bus error” and “Caught SIGABRT in graphics thread”. I dont know if this is a bug or not.. but posting anyways.
My last 2 WU\'s have gone up to about 80-85% going fine and then the remaining time just stops counting down. Now my current WU is at 94% saying 10 min left as it has done for the last hour or so.
So maybe it is some kind of bug when counting the % or something?
My last one took maybe 4 hours to complete which is def. higher than the usual 55 to 90 min so I think this is some kind of special WU.

Side chains fell off!!
This WU came from Rosetta, but I thought you might prefer to deal with it here. This WU has 3+hr/model runtime and seems to be using LOTS of memory.
Every once and a while, the graphic seems to show the side chains floating off. I happened to catch a screenshot of one such frame. The next frame will look normal again.

This work unit was similar. It sat at 10 minutes remaining for a long time, then jumped to 100%, with a total runtime of 3hr 5min. The graphics were also confused with the graph being a bunch of vertical lines. |

Billy, it looks like your task took the whole 3 hours to complete just a single model! Some of these RNA structures are MONSTERS! So, what you observed about ~10min remaining for an extended time is the expected behavior for a task that is running longer then your runtime preferences. If your preference was 3hrs, this would mean only for about 5 minutes. But if your preference were 1 or 2 hrs, then it would show about 10min remaining from your preferred runtime through to the end of that first model.

Yes I had the same thing happen. I looked at it a while ago. And it sais a bit over 9 minutes to go and 94 percent finished. And when I checked it again after a couple hours. It still had a bit over nine minutes to go. Then I looked a way from the screen for a second and when I looked back it had finished. Never did get the chance to look at the graphics.

Another crash on my Mac G4/733, exit status 1 (0x1): 1gidA_BOINC_UNFOLDED_CHAINBREAK5_SASA5_RNA_ABINITIO_RNA_CONTACT_RNA_LONG_RANGE_CONTACT_RNA_SASA_SASA_MONTECARLO-1gidA-_2049_36. This one was well over 90% done, having spent more than five hours of CPU-time. I’m fairly sure this error was provoked by the screensaver starting up—at least the two events were approximately coincidental in time.

This DOCKING_i201_SYMM_2i201_1_d.dec02_2_2055_3_0 task seems to cruise through all steps so fast, you never see them, then get \"stuck\" on step 500. This will be confusing to people.
Also, at step 500, the \"accept\" box only shows one of the proteins in the symmetric pair.
I just topped 20hrs on a task, and it\'s done 703 models so far. I just caught it going to a new model, it reached step 500 in less then 10 seconds, then sits there for the remainder of the model, which, on average must be another 90 seconds, although it\'s definately longer then that sometimes (like whenever I\'m watching it!)

I\'ve noticed that the CPU is idle. Suspending it caused other WU to be started, unsuspending turned the idling result back. After Boinc restart, the result was finally crunched in 1:21 more minutes with exit status 0.
When looking at the host, the remnants of the process are still there.
