After watching Rosetta with Taskmgr for an extended period of time, I am wondering if it might be spending too much time in memory management. On a system with lots of free RAM, its allocated memory seems to be constantly jumping up and down. This isn't the case for some of the other large memory requirement projects like CPDN.

Have any of the developers looked at Rostetta to see if some of the more highly used structures could be made static? Dynamic allocation is great, except when it burns up cycles that might be used for science.

Just a thought.
