I have this question as well. The 3.30 version included the fix for the Mac slowdown problem which effected every type of work unit. It (the fix) presumably will be included in every new version going forward so why would it not be used on Ralph?

I think they do not "pass" to 3.31 version so soon.
I've never seen a batch so big....

What's going on???

All my results that are being returned from the 9th are now getting Validate Errors.
The Work Units have been Cancelled which stops the validation process but the work I already have is still allowed to process and then not get any credit on returning the result.

I have wasted 3 days worth of processing (6 Hour run time preference).

I will let a couple more complete and if they get the same error I will Abort the rest.

Just checked and every Work Unit still in progress has been cancelled, so if I process them they will get Validate errors.

Usually if the project cancels a work unit it will be cancelled on the volunteers computer as well and then it wont get processed and waste CPU time.

Not the case here.
Even the work units that have been completed and marked as successful have been cancelled as well.

Can't work that out.

Perhaps Project Admin have realised that we are processing 3.26 and Rosetta is running 3.31 so cancelled all remaining work.

Anyway aborting all remaining jobs so as not to waste any more CPU cycles for no result.

Well, just checked as a second WU of the latest batch(es) just finished and it did the same thing:
- processing along just fine, uploading, reporting
- results in a "validate error"

The "canceled" under "errors" in the WU info shows up for a few days back at least, with all but one error WU reporting and validating just fine, so I am not sure that is of any relevance in this case.

Looks something is askew here and it would really be nice if one of the admins would respond, at least to let us know they are looking into this...

My WU's with validate errors are
2465839 and
2464581 with

2461750 from the same batch send and returned validated just fine...

Haven't aborted those WU's just yet, but suspended the project in the hope to hear from the projects admins about this first... :?

Yes, a lot of validate errors....

they have realised that we are processing 3.26 after 2 weeks of running batch :-P

This project is running an Obsolete version of BOINC server code.

I have posted about this in NC forum.

The silence of the project admins is deafening... :-(

Getting pages of errors

ERROR: of three residue bond angle parameters not supported
ERROR:: Exit from: src/core/scoring/mm/MMBondAngleLibrary.cc line: 188
called boinc_finish

Both Validate errors and Compute Errors, very short run times

See WU 2813222
And WU 2813342

I'm not sure this is a bug or not...

I got a few WUs for Rosetta Mini version 3.26.

Such as
2841536 (Windows)
2841537 (Mac)
2841532 (Linux x86_64)

Is there any plan(s) to revert back to 3.26 on Rosetta in the future?

Thanks.

I don't think so. Sometimes ralph's team use old app version to compare results with new app....
