Message 6096 - Posted: 1 Dec 2016, 18:51:05 UTC

This application update uses a relatively recent version of the Rosetta source and includes various new features and updates, including new design filters and protocols.

Since it's been a while since the last update, we expect that there may be issues that will be revealed during this test process.

We'll send out test jobs shortly.

Thanks!

I had this on a Win 7 machine. Subsequently I received tasks for version 3.73.

I'm getting download errors on one of my Android tablets. The other tablet and my Galaxy 5 are running fine.

Any ideas?

Here's the output:

<core_client_version>6.12.38</core_client_version>

I too receive this error. Backoff is now at 24 hours.

Will try giving the Android client a shot soon now that there is one available. Always looking for new apps to try out on my Droid army. :)

Good for you
My S3 is unable to crunch this app (but works well with universe@home, for example).

To fix it, they have to update the server code (they are using 8y old code), particulary the scheduler.
Boinc Admins created a guide to "stay current", using git pull command (it's very simple), but R@H admins said that their server code is customized, so i don't know if the update is easy...

Interesting. My windows machines downloaded tasks at first but then went into this Android ghost mode. So it DID work on their current version of server code. Also, the #1 cruncher is using Windows.

The problems are:
- recognize correctly the hw (for example gpu)
- release wu for cpu, arm, gpu at the SAME time
You (and me) downoaded wus for windows 'cause, i suppose, they manually stopped the android queue.

If i'm wrong, admins can clarify this...

Simple. A SINGLE I7/Opteron/Xeon/FX8000 have the same computational power of, how many?, 20 smartphone? 30?

My point was that a Windows machine was getting work (not its computational power) but now its quite clear that only Android devices are receiving tasks

Assuming BoincStats Mumps[MM], the rac leader, is not receiving points since 07/12 (400 points) and 04/12 (55k point). The last 6 days, 0 points.
First hosts are "rac-decreasing".
So, NO work for Windows (or Linux).

The Windows 32bit app was rebuilt on a 32bit VM

Is this a start for an optimized app?
