So what sort of thing do you look for or notice in your testing (generally in beta testing) Me I normally find the useability problems which should be easiest to sort out (though normally takes the longest to fix) Then it'll be messing about with the new functions to see if the work or not. What does irritate me the most is when people don't describe the problem in detail with some logs (which I do sometimes myself :s) to see if it can be reproduced. |

So what sort of thing do you look for or notice in your testing (generally in beta testing) Hello, I enjoy the "exitement" and Buzz around a Beat Test. Enjoy any help I can provide to help Rosetta fix the "not able to quit Boinc" even though it is saved in memory. Sincerely Doug Worrall |

Whatever issue might end up comming up. I haven't found anything of interest in RALP yet, as the first WU completed successfully, and I just applied some security patches to winXP via Windows Update which required a reboot. Returning to desktop, everything seems OK, though I might retract that comment when BOINC returns to the RALPH unit in progress... Otherwise, with uFluids which is another project currently in Alpha, I've noticed the occassional bad WU that errors out (for all people the WU is issued too), as well as some new introduced WU types that have no successful completions and after reports see an updated science app. Sometimes the progress indicator doesn't advance, which many Rosseta users might remember as we didn't always have save points or what not, or the occassional hung WU that after 30+ hours goes no where with the project admin instructing an abort... Just general things like that, or something that's out of the ordinary, which need some feedback to devise work arounds... |
