First, thanks for being UOTD, Bouncer Jupiter says hi. I've noticed something that may people think, that a Rosetta or Ralph WU has crashed, while it hasn't. When I boot up for the day (my computer is always turned off when I sleep), I see Rosetta and Ralph WU's stated as zero in progress, even they have ran for hours and are almost finished. ![]() Click the pic. They stay on zero untill they start to run, and then the progress goes up to the real percentage. The Seti Beta WU's don't show this. They go up to the real percentage imidiately. This may cause people think that the WU's have crashed, so they abort them and are aggravated at the time spent on them and now not getting any credit for it. And as you can see, I've already spent 6 hours on the Rosetta WU and it's almost finished, as the time to completion will adjust as soon as it starts to run with the real percentage. I don't know if it's a bug or intentional, I'm pointing to something that looks like a bug and a crashed WU, but it ain't. EDIT: Here's the real percentage after having suspended the other WU's ![]() Click the pic. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ![]() |

My CPDN work does this also. I haven't paid it any attention. I looked very careful the first times I saw this, and was just about to abort the WU's. Luckily I didn't do it, as they're Ok, but it's confusing. And again, the Seti WU's don't do it, not even the Seti Beta WU's.
