(Message 5648)
Posted 26 Feb 2013 by Conan Post: G'Day to you Searcher. The project has been running since the 16 Feb 2006, so I would think that there are numerous ATA members. As this is the Alpha test bed for Rosetta, not every one wants to do Alpha projects, but most ATA members have been here at one time or another. Conan |

Posted 6 Feb 2013 by Conan Post: Have had 2 successful work units but both ran for far longer than my preferences, over 36,000 seconds with a preference of 21,600 seconds (6 hours). They only granted 20 credits for the effort, very poor. See WU 2858623 and WU 2858534 WU 2858623 ran for 36,379.95 seconds (10.11 hours), claimed 230.42 credits, got 20 credits. WU 2858534 ran for 36,512.02 seconds (10.14 hours), claimed 250.99 credits, got 20 credits. With the granted credits and the huge error count, this current work unit batch is very sick and needs a lot of work to fix. Conan |

Posted 10 Jul 2012 by Conan Post: Just checked and every Work Unit still in progress has been cancelled, so if I process them they will get Validate errors. Usually if the project cancels a work unit it will be cancelled on the volunteers computer as well and then it wont get processed and waste CPU time. Not the case here. Even the work units that have been completed and marked as successful have been cancelled as well. Can't work that out. Perhaps Project Admin have realised that we are processing 3.26 and Rosetta is running 3.31 so cancelled all remaining work. Anyway aborting all remaining jobs so as not to waste any more CPU cycles for no result. Conan |

Posted 10 Jul 2012 by Conan Post: What's going on??? All my results that are being returned from the 9th are now getting Validate Errors. The Work Units have been Cancelled which stops the validation process but the work I already have is still allowed to process and then not get any credit on returning the result. I have wasted 3 days worth of processing (6 Hour run time preference). I will let a couple more complete and if they get the same error I will Abort the rest. See 2465392 2435521 2464761 Conan |
