Posted 10 Mar 2006 by pisi78 Post: And what I got with the first WUs was "Client error Computing after 12,087.8 sec or about 4 hours in totally wasted crunching time with no CS. You know what is it an alpha or beta application? I crunched several workunit without success and with 0 credits but i'm happy to help to sort these issues :) P.S. to the admins : I suggest to don't give credits at all. it's meaningless in an alpha project and there will ever be users that will not comprend why the application crash and why there are no workunits |

Posted 18 Feb 2006 by pisi78 Post: it's possible to configure a single host without the mess of home - work - school configurations. simply stop the boinc app, make a backup copy of global_prefs.xml that is in the main boinc folder and remove or add this line if you want or not to leave the application in memory. <leave_apps_in_memory/> naturally if you change the general prefs again with a project website, in the next contact it will be overwritten. |

Posted 17 Feb 2006 by pisi78 Post: maybe is better to don't give credits at all :) or maybe to not export stats, so the credit concern is no more. |
