Who would the UOTD be competing against ? It has always been my understanding, That a projects UOTD was a way of the project to show appreciation to all the users, By picking one out, And making them UOTD. How is that to be considered asthetic or not a priority issue ? Is David Baker in agreement with the following statement ? : I can assure you that the system administrator currently is working on more important issues. Should he become particularly bored at some point he may try to fix the User of the Day display, but it will be some time before that happens. (...) In any case it has no impact on the functional testing conducted on RALPH. G^R
2) Message boards : Cafe RALPH : User of the Day (Message 2531) Posted 11 Nov 2006 by [B^S] Gamma^Ray Post: The response then was the "the user of the day" is not a high priority as this is a Alpha test project and the UotD works fine in the main Rosetta programme so no need to 'test' it here at Ralph. Well, Thats understandable, But my next question then is, Why have it at all here ? If your gonna have it at all (Which they obviously do as the same user has been sitting there for ages), And it works fine, Then either do away with it here, Or turn it back on. Doesn't seem like a hard decesion to me .
