Posted 19 Aug 2006 by ![]() Post: No issues at all so far, that was a very quick upgrade to the code seen as though it was only suggested a few hours ago :) Edit: If you don't have a test account to try the new code on you know what you can do to my account on here to test it! |

(Message 1591)
Posted 11 May 2006 by ![]() Post: Glad there is a vote of support, the AMS is going to be big, I only want this project to be up there with the rest, Maybe upgrade this server?? Test it make sure it works then port it over to ROSETTA? More info here for people who aren't sure what a AMS is |

Upgrade server to support AMS
(Message 1568)
Posted 10 May 2006 by ![]() Post: Have posted this at Rosetta too I would like to know when AMS support will be made available on RALPH & Rosetta, this would mean upgrading the server to enable support for the AMS. The majority of projects have already upgraded and there is only a small minority who have not done so as yet, this project & RALPH been one of them. So please do this upgrade ASAP! Thanks Dave |

(Message 982)
Posted 25 Mar 2006 by ![]() Post: Some of the projects cannot use the newest BOINC versions without upgrading their servers and or applications This is untrue for all the latest BOINC clients, they work off the Server Version 5, so every project will run off 5.3.28 with no problems |

Posted 24 Mar 2006 by ![]() Post: Before people perform an upgrade to their BOINC software, could you please provide some information as to the impact this may have on other projects they may be running. Many of the users are running multiple projects, and this kind of an upgrade could have serious implications for those other efforts. There are no implications I upgrade my BOINC client whenever ROM and the team bring out a new version, to help test if for bugs, in the many months I have been upgrading to various clients I have never had a trashed WU. Besides if people wish to help RALPH solve the 1% bug they have no choice this is the only BOINC client that handles what RALPH needs for the error reporting |

Resource share: RALPH instead of Rosetta@home?
(Message 965)
Posted 23 Mar 2006 by ![]() Post: I would assume all WU's are to test for bugs and fixes rather than science as Rosetta does the science and RALPH is set upto test things. Have you got BOINC 5.3.28?? as that is needed for the new app of RALPH |

Report - Previously Unclassified Work Unit Errors
(Message 859)
Posted 12 Mar 2006 by ![]() Post: well if that was the case would it not have errored out straight after the benchmarks?? But seen as though BOINC left it in memory at the benchmark that can't be the reason for the failure can it?

Posted 11 Mar 2006 by ![]() Post: And what I got with the first Wis was "Client error Computing after 12,087.8 sec or about 4 hours in totally wasted crunching time with no CS. This same person has sulked in a few threads on Alpha/BETA test sites, I don't think the user understands that these type of projects are usually fault finding sessions for WU's and not a site to collect shiny points. So thats one less point collector here, leaves the rest of the work to us |
