Those are MAXIMUM settings. If it does not need the whole amount it will not use it all.

YES, I already know what u said - before u have said !

*May be I need of studying english some more. English is not my native Idiom.

What I was trying to show is that ralph graphics
are using 2 times the qty of CPU that rosetta graphics uses.

a suggestion for rosetta/ralph preferences

Use accelerated graphics: (yes/no) default no, for who does not set it.

*may be, then, the cpu usage by graphics, drops to 0.01% to who set yes,
and has adequate software/hardware installed -:)

I hope this time I am rigth understood.

Thanks

I am now, crunching this WU (5.10) Windows
https://ralph.bakerlab.org/result.php?resultid=104840

Grapics remains with the same problems as I had reported previously for 5.09

However I found time to test other screen resolutions

A) In 640x480 nothing below 1st line of descriptive text is shown

b) After restoring my screen to 1024x768
Grafics does not shown nothing below nn.nnn% Complete !
*seems that ralph graphics has a strong memory -:(

*it remembers the previous screen resolution.
So the problems of not showing the CPU time ... and all others things below -:(

My first 2 units on 5.10 crashed, though the third is crunching now... Here are the particulars

https://ralph.bakerlab.org/result.php?resultid=105784

stderr out

<core_client_version>5.4.1</core_client_version>
<message>Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1)
</message>
<stderr_txt>
ERROR:: Exit at: .barcode_classes.cc line:500

</stderr_txt>

Crashed at 10 seconds of crunch time. Looking further, another computer crashed with this same WU

https://ralph.bakerlab.org/workunit.php?wuid=92286

The second WU, had the same exact symptoms and error message, though thus far it hasn't yet been assigned to a second computer:

Got 3 more WUs with the same exact error.

stderr out

<core_client_version>5.4.1</core_client_version>
<message>Incorrect function. (0x1) - exit code 1 (0x1)
</message>
<stderr_txt>
ERROR:: Exit at: .barcode_classes.cc line:500

</stderr_txt>

And on these 3 computers, both computers the WUs were given to errored out...

Quick comments:

(1) I noticed the continuing graphics bug too... I've tried to fix it for 5.11.

(2) I figured out the problem with the NATIVEBARCODE workunits, canceled the old workunits, and sent out some fixed ones! Thanks!

(3) The other error reports are quite useful -- combined with some more debugging code we've implemented, we can hopefully get rid of some of thse problems. Maybe we can cut this error rate from 5-10% to 1-2%!

Thanks for posting, and please post bugs for 5.11 (I just put it up) in the other thread I'm setting up.

The graphics bug hasn't quite been fixed yet (in 5.10). Although only one instance of the descriptive text shows up now, when opening the graphics interface a second (and third, and so on) time, there is an extra blank line between the two lines of text, pushing the rest of the WU info off the screen (model, step, time, percentage, etc), no matter how the window is resized.
