Why other computers has daily quota of 5/day and mine has only 2/day? How is this quota determined?

I assume you are talking about this host.

The last three WU returned as errors. For every errored out WU you return, your daily quota goes down by one.

When you successfully return a WU the quota will double (I think) until it reaches the max again.

OK fine but this is a test project, whose news specifically requested we abort wu's running old versions. I did so, for a couple 4.85 wu's and just now for 2 4.87 wu's. Since aborting is handled the same as an error now my quota is down to one and I cannot d/l any Ralph work.

Should the starting quota be a bit higher if aborting wu's will be a more frequent practice than on production projects?

hehe, I was going to inquire about that last night, newer then 4.87? So didn't abort... Should get onto it then...

But yeah, our quota perhaps shouldn't be negatively impacted when we're doing as requested by the project admins. Afterall, it's in their interest that we can continue testing the newer version of the app, once it's out there...

Given the nature of apps testing, a failed result can also give more "interesting" results then a successful one, if the failure isn't simply the clients computer. Obvious reason being of course, that the feedback provided can help isolate/work out another bug in the app...

Perhaps a work around from our end might be to abort them slowly, and just suspend the other WUs in the interum so we can get onto the newer WUs without invoking the penalty as quickly. Hmm...

When I went back over my results I found that two of my wu's were not aborted and had completed successfully, then got that -131 error on upload. As you say, low quotas can therefore be problematic even if we waste test time by letting old-version wu's complete to maintain quota.

Though the clock finally ticked over and I managed to get a 4.89 wu :-). Hopefully it won't have that error and I can let it complete no matter what announcements say, to get my quota out of the basement.

Thanks for the reminder on suspending old wu's instead of aborting immediately, to get to current-version wu's.
