Message 6800 - Posted: 1 May 2020, 21:44:14 UTC - in response to Message 6794.

I'll send out more tasks. It would be nice to have more android and linux-arm devices in the test pool.

I'm still seeing some "finish file present too long" errors.

Will add capable phone to Ralph too for testing along with Linux host.

v4.20 works fine in Android 6 (22 tasks) and Android 10 (5 tasks).

Only 1 error:
upload failure: <file_xfer_error>
  <file_name>Mini_Protein_binds_IL6R_COVID-19_test3_SAVE_ALL_OUT_IGNORE_THE_REST_0cj9pv7f_32_608_1_r342958380_0</file_name>
  <error_code>-161 (not found)</error_code>

I posted this over in the 4.12 thread as I didn't see this thread.

Running Linux got this error as did my Wingman

Tried running a couple of 4.20 work units, but they both failed after less than 1 1/2 minutes with the error 'Process got Signal 11"

Haven't tried again as computer is busy doing other work.

4.20 seemed to be running okay - but on https://ralph.bakerlab.org/results.php?hostid=44545, it isn't running. It's been "downloading" ever since I received these 3 tasks. Should I abort those tasks, or just let it continue running Rosetta and WCG WUs?

Is it making any progress with the downloads?

Is it making any progress with the downloads?

No - it just says Downloading. It hasn't fetched any other Ralph tasks, and it's just marching closer to its deadline, in about 23 hours now.
I have no idea what is causing the issue. If there's anything I can do on my end to help figure out what's going on/what steps I should take to troubleshoot/resolve the issue, let me know.

There's no wifi issues - it has no problem fetching more Rosetta tasks.

I'd restart the client and if there's still an issue, try aborting them.

Restarted the client - anndd they just vanished from the BOINC Manager's Task list, so I lost the chance to abort them. Rip.
I'll have to just sit and wait - see what happens when the next WUs come through. Thanks for trying to help, though - I really appreciate it.

Keep up the good work!

Reports [1, 2] that 4.20 does not work at all on older versions of Mac OS – all tasks fail immediately with signal 11.

I can run 7 tasks and computer runs, but starting 8th memory comsumption goes over physical memory and swap is being utilized. Swap usage rises to 2gb maximun and Then computer is stalled.

I've seen as much as 6400+ MB pr task (!)
When my 6950X got a load of task, it completely choked since it "only" has 32 GB of ram... It would actually only just fit in memory if i got 128 GB running all threads.
Option to set number of tasks in progress i preferences would be nice.
